Use of phones

Mobile phones should not be used in clinical areas at either the Royal Bournemouth of Christchurch Hospitals. This is because they may interfere with medical equipment or disturb other patients.

Please check with staff before you use your phone.

Mobile phones may be used in reception and entrance areas, non–clinical communal areas and public corridors with consideration for others around you.

Mobile phones may not be used on wards, operating theatres, maternity wards or intensive therapy units. This is to protect the privacy, dignity and comfort of our patients and staff.

There are payphones around the hospital should you need to make a call.

Thank you for your cooperation
