Surgical Admissions Unit

The Surgical Admissions Unit (SAU), also known as Ward 18, is used by surgeons to assess patients’ conditions and decide whether they need to be admitted to the hospital for an operation. The unit is used for emergency surgery by all general surgeons within the Trust including urology, gynaecology and vascular emergency surgeries.

We want your hospital stay to be the best that it can be. Ensuring that you have the best care and treatment while you are on our ward is really important to us. If you are not happy with the care that we are providing please ask for the nurse in charge. We want to be able to answer and address your questions and concerns as soon as possible and improve your experience, or that of your relative, while you are here.

Your feedback will also help us improve the experience of other patients.

If you are having a good experience on our ward we would also like to hear from you.
