How we use your information

We are required by the National Health Service Act 2006 to have a register of members which includes information that you have provided in your application. We will use the information on the membership database to communicate with you about membership and the Trust. To do this we will share your information with the organisation hosting our membership database, the returning officer for governor elections in which you are eligible to vote and the organisation which distributes our newsletter to members (unless you receive the newsletter by email). We will also use information on the membership database to provide a demographic analysis of our membership in our annual report and accounts, as required by our regulator, NHS Improvement, and with the assistance of the organisation hosting our membership database. This allows monitoring, in the public interest, of the legal requirement to ensure that the actual membership of any public constituency is representative of those eligible for such membership. Your details will be deleted from the register when you cease to be a member.
