Becoming a governor at your local hospitals

We run events for anyone interested in learning more about the governor role. There will be opportunities to meet current governors and ask questions about the role. Keep an eye on this page for the next event.

Working with Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Governors and Membership

Poole and Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals are working together to share their membership information and you may now opt to join both memberships when signing up as a member which will enable you to hear about both Trust's events. Understanding Health Talks

  • Friday 1 May: Understanding Health Talk at Barrington Centre, Penny’s Walk, Ferndown, BH22 9TH. 10.30am, subject and speaker to be confirmed
  • Tuesday 14 May: Understanding Interventional Radiology by Dr Clare Bent, consultant radiologist, at Bournemouth School for Girls, East Way, BH8 9UJ using East Way. 6.30pm
  • Tuesday 28 May: Understanding Health Talk at St Saviours Church, Wilverley Road, Brockenhurst, SO42 7SP. 6.30pm, subject and speaker to be confirmed

Listening event - 17 March 2020

Governors of The Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust are holding a Listening Event on Tuesday, 17 March 2020.

The Governors will be in Westbourne Arcade, Poole Road, Westbourne, BH4 9AY between 10:00am to 4:00pm to listen to the experiences of those who have used hospital services or visited patients. Feedback will be used to contribute to improvements in the Trust. The event is free to attend and no booking is required.

The Council of Governors Quarterly Meeting

Our Council of Governors meet four times a year in public. Part one of the meetings are open to everyone, public and staff. Dates to be announced soon.
