Amber and yellow weather warnings issued

Amber and yellow warnings for snow and ice have been put in place by the Met Office for our region from 1pm today until 1pm tomorrow (1 February).

All treatments and appointments at the hospital are currently continuing as normal, unless you are specifically contacted by us to cancel your appointment.

Cold weather can cause some areas around the trust to become slippery and dangerous so please take extra care on icy roads and pathways. The conditions may also cause travel delays on roads and rail.

If weather conditions do deteriorate, please consider whether it will be possible to attend/return home safely from a hospital visit, especially if you live in a more isolated rural location. If you cannot attend an appointment at the hospital, please contact the number on your appointment letter as soon as you can. Please be patient as our phone lines will be busier than normal.

The weather warnings are subject to change. To stay up to date with the latest information and guidance, please visit the Met Office website.
