Our Vision for the Future (RBH site)

Front coverAll three of our hospital sites at Royal Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole are going to be transformed over the next few years as part of a £250m investment in local health services. We are producing a series of publications looking at the planned changes and the first one is now available to download or you can read online.

This is focused on the developments at Royal Bournemouth Hospital with the building of a new Maternity, Children's, Emergency and Critical Care Centre (MCEC). The publication contains details of the many patient and staff benefits this building will bring, artists impressions of how the new building will fit into our estate and features on our active travel plans to help reduce traffic congestion. Future publications will focus on the developments across Poole Hospital and Christchurch Hospital.

Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council approved a planning application for the MCEC on 23 July.

Below are some of the architects drawings for the development of our hospitals.

Images are early concept artists impressions only and may not be representative of the final scheme design.
