Who we are and what we do

Our award winning Communications Department deals with all aspects of internal and external communication, including media relations, managing the Trust’s website and planning events and campaigns. The Department aims to keep staff, patients, the public and health partners up to date with our latest developments and news.

The Information Standard quality mark award 2017

We have been awarded the Information Standard quality mark for the health and care information we produce for our patients.

Patient information produced by the Trust ranges from leaflets detailing what a patient can expect during and after a procedure to information on diet and caring for your body after surgery, including advice on prescribed drugs.

In order to be awarded the Information Standard certificate, we undergo a rigorous self-assessment of our patient information processes and submit it to the Royal Society of Public Health (RSPH). Every other year, the RSPH completes a day long assessment to ensure the Trust continues to meet the high standards expected.

The accreditation means all of the information produced carries the Information Standard quality mark, which is a clear indication that it is accurate and reliable.
