Sustainable travellers win prizes during liftshare week

Staff who travelled to work at the Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals (RBCH), in a sustainable way had the chance of winning an Amazon Kindle or AFC Bournemouth football tickets, in the RBCH carbon lottery.

Names of employees were picked at random and phoned to see how they travelled to work. If the employee had not come to work in one of the sustainable ways, then the prize rolled over to the next person on the list. Ten members of staff who had not travelled to work sustainably missed out, but two lucky sustainable travelers won prizes.

Laura Dale, Sustainability Manager said: “This was a fun way to celebrate lift-share week. Many employees are surprised to find that there are others who live close to them who they could share their journey with. Even as far away as Southampton and Portsmouth."
